Before discussing cannabidiol (CBD) dosage, it makes sense to start with some basic cannabis and CBD facts. CBD is one of the active elements found in cannabis. Cannabis contains more than 400 active elements. THC is one of them. THC and CBD are just 2 of 60 different types of cannabinoid molecules.
Cannabidiol Ratio
A suitable CBD serving depends on a number of different conditions. It is best for the experienced users of cannabis to use a balanced THC-CBD ratio. Patients suffering from pain claim they need more THC.
Others with little or no experience can choose an option in which CBD is the main ingredient. Gradually, the user can increase the amount of THC until he or she feels that the given ratio works.
It is important to know that CBD compounds have effects occurring through two distinct phases. What is more, if you take the same substance with different servings, you can get opposite effects. Be aware that CBD is less helpful when taken with extremely high amounts. As for the results of CBD with ultra-low doses, these are yet to be determined.
Cannabidiol Dosage
The question of whether or not cannabis is addictive has been discussed for decades. According to the National Institute of Drug Abuse, cannabis is among the most abused drugs in the US. Years ago, it was illegal to buy and sell CBD in the US. Today, most states have already legalized the use of medical marijuana.
The reason why people buy cannabis so much is simple. It is affordable and easily accessible. One of the most popular forms is cannabidiol extract.
Research shows that CBD has a variety of potential therapeutic benefits. Animal studies show that CBD may also have anti-inflammatory properties. However, doctors do not always recommend their patients take cannabis.
If necessary, doctors prescribe THC and cannabidiol dosages based on various conditions, including individual factors. Many patients are sensitive to THC, which plays a crucial role in prescribing the appropriate ratios and servings of CBD. According to Yosef Sarne, an Israeli scientist, ultra-low doses of THC may work to protect the heart and neural structure in animals.
It is important to note that researchers are continuing to study the side effects and benefits of cannabis. It has no established lethal dose or LD 50 (lethal dose 50%).
Based on the information above, do you think you could benefit from high or low doses of CBD? Feel free to share your thoughts here in the comments below.

This was a piece on CBD dose, but you did not give an effective dose or therapeutic dose (in mgs) for cannabidiol???
We don’t have a prescribed dosage on CBD as each case is unique depending on the health condition and body metabolism but the established therapeutic dose may range from 2mg up to 200mg per day.
I remember reading that Charlotte was doing around 200 mgs of CBD for the seizures. I have customers who have seen good results at that dose. Andy
Thanks for sharing the information!
I’m sorry, but I found this article very confusing! It didn’t help me to understand how much CBD I need? I’m a new user!!
Sorry for the confusion but the idea is, to start with a lower dosage first and work your way up when the need arises. It’s hard to tell your prescribed dosage since each case is unique but start off with the tinctures, you can take as much as 10-15 drops per day for severe anxiety and mood disorders.
I am looking for the correct dose for a cancer patient (my daughter). She has thyroid cancer, and also some found in the lungs and liver.
